ahmadarwish.com is the personal website of Ahmad Darwish, director and storyteller. This page explains, plainly, what is collected when you visit, why, and what you can do about it.
What we don’t collect
There are no sign-up forms, accounts or payments on this site. We never ask for your name, email or number on the site.
The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp with a ready-made message you can edit before sending. Anything you send after that falls under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy, and is only used to reply to you about your project.
Analytics and cookies
Two tools help me understand how people find the site and which work interests them:
- Google Analytics: general visit statistics, such as pages viewed, country and device type.
- Meta Pixel: to measure ads on Facebook and Instagram, and whether an ad led a visitor to get in touch.
Both place small files (cookies) in your browser. On your first visit a bar lets you accept or decline. If you decline, Meta Pixel stays off and Google Analytics runs without cookies, sending anonymous signals only.
Videos
Some films are played from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie). The YouTube player only loads when you press play.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like any server, it may keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, to run and protect the site.
Your rights
You can ask what data relates to you, or ask for it to be deleted, and you can clear cookies from your browser at any time.
